The mission of Military Families for Justice is to raise awareness and enact change in the U.S. Military Justice System through the passage of the Bill of Rights for Bereaved Military Families. Our purpose is to serve as an online resource center to provide educational links and materials enabling bereaved military families to empower themselves with the knowledge necessary to navigate the military justice system. We will also produce episodes with our new podcast “River City Charlie — The Military True Crime Podcast” as time allows. Currently, we are experiencing delays in episodes due to Covid 19. However, we are still working diligently to bring forth curated news from around the globe of military crime and injustice. Over the years we have become known as “The Hub” for credible information on military crime and injustice. After more than a decade in existence, we now accept donations to help bring all of these important stories to the masses. We’ve also coined the phrase “Gateway Crimes” as our research has shown that many of the bereaved military families we advocate for had a loved one murdered as the result of other crimes. Some were killed because they were raped, as in the cases of Army PFC Vanessa Guillen and PFC LaVena Johnson; just to name two. Others have been killed for reporting crimes, some have committed suicide after suffering the illegal acts involved with hazing and other heinous acts. The list goes on and on. Please take a moment to sign and share our petition calling for sponsorship of a Bill of Rights for Bereaved Military Families. If enacted, it will go a long way to make sure crimes and suicides are reported accurately.

The River City Charlie Podcast
The River City Charlie Podcast is the official podcast for MFFJ. It is focused on military true crime and injustice. It isn't our goal to churn episodes out on a certain schedule, we will focus on select cases as our time allows. Our primary goal is advocacy for the bereaved military families, not entertainment.
Hosts Cilla McCain and Tracy Shue - co-founders of Military Families for Justice - are on a mission to give military families and our nation's service members a voice.
